DELIVERED BY OUR PARTNERS

Chinese Food Delivery from South Bridge

Chinese food delivery Edinburgh can order in a couple of taps, through Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Both apps carry our full menu from 45 South Bridge and set the fee, the area and the timing. We cook the food the same way we cook it for the tables.

Chinese food delivery Edinburgh can plan around

Order through Uber Eats or Deliveroo and a driver collects from the door on South Bridge. Those are the two ways we deliver. We do not run our own vans, and delivery is booked through the apps rather than over the phone, which surprises people and is worth saying early.

The food is cooked as the orders come in rather than sitting under a lamp. That is why a Saturday night takes longer than a Tuesday lunch, and why we would rather say so than promise a time we cannot keep.

Everything on our menu is on the apps, give or take the version they are running that week. If a dish is missing from one of them, it is usually their copy of the menu rather than the kitchen's answer.

Choose your delivery

If you are five minutes away, collection is faster and cheaper and you skip the fee. Order on HungryPanda or ring us, walk up, and you will be home before the app has found a driver. That is not modesty. It is a fact about South Bridge at six in the evening.

Anything with crunch in it is better collected, and we will tell you which dishes fall into that category when you ring. That goes for food you want exactly as it left the wok.

Delivery is for the nights it rains, the nights you are on the other side of town, and the nights you have people round and cannot leave. All three are good reasons. The point of a Chinese food delivery Edinburgh can rely on is that it turns up, not that it is fast.

Peak nights, and what to expect

Friday and Saturday from six are the busiest hours of our week, and orders arrive faster than two woks can clear them. Order early if you want to eat at a particular time. Tuesday at two in the afternoon is a different world.

August is its own season. The city doubles in size, the apps get busier, and drivers sit in the same traffic as everyone else. We are not going to pretend a Friday during the Festival is a normal delivery night.

If something goes wrong with an order, raise it in the app, because the driver, the fee and the delivery are theirs to fix. If the food itself is wrong, tell us and we will put it right. That part is ours.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Which apps deliver your food?

Uber Eats and Deliveroo, and those two only. We do not run our own delivery service and we cannot take delivery orders over the phone. Both apps list our full menu and show the fee for your address before you confirm, so there are no surprises at the end.

Why can I not see a delivery fee on this page?

Because the fee is not ours. Uber Eats and Deliveroo calculate it from your address and their own charges, which change by area and by the hour. The app shows it at checkout. What we set is the menu and the cooking, and both are the same as in the restaurant.

Do you deliver to my address?

The app will tell you straight away when you enter it. If your address is not covered, we cannot extend the area from our side. Collection from 45 South Bridge is the alternative, and it is usually quicker if you are anywhere near the centre.

Will the food still be hot when it arrives?

Usually, and the apps give you a time estimate that reflects how busy the kitchen is. Some dishes travel better than others. Anything fried is at its best within minutes, so we would point you towards rice, noodles, stews and roast meats for a journey across town.

Order through Uber Eats or Deliveroo

The full menu is on both apps, with the fee and the timing shown before you pay. If you are close enough to walk, collection is quicker and there is no fee at all.
